Puzzled

 puzzle-pieces

Lately, my little guy and I have been really into puzzles. It’s something fun we can both do together. It exercises his cognitive planning and visual perceptual skills. It’s relaxing for us moms and fun to watch your child so engaged. Greyson is obsessed with firefighters, so we have a lot of versions of fire-themed puzzles but you can buy age-appropriate puzzles in whatever subject or theme your child finds interesting.

Teaching kids through puzzles is also an easy and fun way to expose your child to different cultures, destinations and art. You could do a puzzle of artwork from a particular artist before visiting the museum or maybe one of a landmark in a country you soon will be visiting. You can familiarize your kids with so many of the people, places and experiences that life has to offer and it’s a nice quiet time to spend together.
